Factors to Consider Before Selecting a Warehouse heater
Several industrial heaters manufacturers provide heaters these days. But randomly selecting and installing one and going on doing your business is not advisable. Every warehouse is unique. That is to say, all warehouses are different. It is highly unlikely that two warehouses will be the same. That is why the heating method that works for one warehouse may not necessarily work for another. A heater is a necessity, that is given. But before you install a heater there are certain factors that you must consider. Here are some of the factors you must consider before selecting a warehouse heater.
Size
One factor that determines the size of the heater is the size of your warehouse. If your warehouse has huge space and you need high heat output you may need a heater with greater capacity. If your warehouse space is small you may not need a heater with such a high capacity.
Type of products
A warehouse stores a plethora of products. They range from hazardous chemicals to FMCG products. Different types of equipment are also used to take care of these products. While selecting a heater you must take heed of the products you will be storing and the types of equipment you will be using. The heater you use must not cause harm to any of the products you may store in future or the types of equipment that you would use.
Business activities
The nature of your business might also affect the type of heater you buy. Are you a distributor or a carrying forward agent? How long are you going to store the product? Will you be storing the end product or raw materials? All of these factors related to the nature of your business will affect the choice of your heater.
Space
Now, what is the difference between space and size? Size is the actual floor space of your warehouse whereas space is the amount of vacant space between two objects such as products, racks, etc. If the space between your products is less, it is advisable to have suspended heaters in various directions instead of a few mounted heaters.
Requirements
If you store different type of products chances are they may need a different degree of heating. One particular product might need low heating while another product needs high heating. You can place them in different places in the warehouse and then use radiant heaters. Radiant heating systems can be used to create heating zones. These different heating zones can have different heating temperatures.
All warehouses are different. The business that these warehouses support are also different. To make the most of your warehouse and maximize your profit you must study these factors before selecting a warehouse heater.
